Regular Meeting

May 1, 2008

Members present: Kevin Jacka, Lanita Taylor, Sarah Haden, Linda Ritts, Judy Cornelius, Sarah Highfield and Lela Taylor. Guest was Walt Kloefkorn, Mike Mullins.

Lela Taylor made the motion to accept the March minutes. Lanita Taylor second. Motion passed.

Lanita Taylor made the motion to accept the April minutes. Sarah Haden second. Motion passed.

Linda Ritts made a motion to accept the April Executive meeting. Lanita Taylor second. Motion passed.

Treasurers’ report checking $1, 273.05 savings $505.23 total C & S $1,778.28

Linda Ritts made the motion to accept the treasures report. Lela Taylor second. Motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS

Parade-Linda will call Mr. MJ Fliger and ask if he would consider being our Grand Marshall.

By consensus of the members, a check for $91.01 was made out to Judy Cornelius for reimbursement of the American flags she purchased with the exception of one flag, which she donated.

Linda announced that the Cemetery clean up will be May 17^th at 9 am.

Linda announced the Pee Wee Rodeo would be held on May 18 for kids up to the age of 18.

REPORTS

Women’s club will hold their annual Mad Hatters Tea& Fashion Show on May 3^rd.

Horizons will hold a grant writing class.

Community center is looking for volunteers to help with remodeling of the inside of the building so get it ready for opening. Future events will be a farmers market, senior luncheons, game night etc.

Senior Social meets every Wednesday for lunch at 12 noon. Anyone is invited to attend.

Town Hall-Sarah Highfield reported that the town is working on the pond project, a welcome sign into the town, potholes etc.

Guests were Mike Mullins, and Walt Kloefkorn.

Announcements were made and the meeting was adjourned.
